The LCA Athletic Department raises the bar every year.

With students competing in such sports as tackle football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, boys baseball, and girls fast pitch softball, our student athletes build character and confidence in and out of the classroom.Athletics will play an important role in the lives of many students while they are enrolled at Lafayette Christian Academy. Therefore, it is important that our athletic department help to develop an integrated person - one who is spiritually alert, and physically disciplined. To achieve this delicate balance in each athlete, we must train them to think about sports from a Christian perspective rather than man's perspective. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Phil. 2:5  An important part of any school is to have activities outside of the classroom. Competition builds, as well as, reveals one's true character and it is our opportunity to mold and shape the character of the Knight athletes into the image of Christ. On a high school campus athletes have more influence on students than anyone else. The very nature of that position draws students to themselves. For this reason, our athletes must be students of great integrity and Christian character in order to be the role models God wants them to be.
